Whiffletree Farm went beyond my expectations in making my memory quilt. My son died a year ago and I didn’t want to just keep his clothes stored away in a closet. I decided to have a memory quilt made from his clothing. I cannot even begin to describe just how beautiful the quilt is. When my husband and I finally saw the finished quilt, we just cried buckets of tears. It is gorgeous!
Susan did a fantastic job! She is great to work with. I was informed throughout the whole process. She used all the different types of clothing that I had of my son. She even incorporated a favorite Star Wars bed sheet into the quilt by using it in the border. I didn’t think that it would be able to be used, but she is the one who came up with the solution. She worked with me in seeing that I had the final outcome that I wanted, and even more so.
I praise God for leading me to her. Once I found her, I knew she was the one meant to make the quilt for me. It was not “just a job” to her. She put her whole heart and soul into it - (the kind of person you want to do your quilt)!! My husband and I will treasure the quilt the rest of our lives. It is such a special way to preserve wonderful memories of our son, Jesse. I recommend Whiffletree Farm 100% and know that you will be more than pleased!

Our grateful family has had the pleasure of receiving three memory quilts handcrafted by Susan at Whiffletree Farm. Each and every one of them are amazing works of art. We ordered one for my Dad and gave it to him for Father’s Day. The quilt is made up of a variety of t-shirts he collected over the years and relate to his Harley Davidson Motorcycle hobby. My quilt is filled with t-shirts collected during my career and preserves so many memories. Each time, Susan works with us to make sure that the selection of fabric and materials blend perfectly with our theme and decor. We highly recommend Whiffletree Farm Memory Quilts.

My daughter gave her dad the most memorable quilt. My husband was injured in an accident in the year 2000. Before the accident we traveled on a motorcycle all over the United States and had collected many t-shirts. She asked me to gather up as many as I could from the different areas and she was going to have a quilt made for his birthday. I thought it was a great idea but when it was finished we were just amazed how wonderful it turned out. This is something we will always cherish as it hangs in our den. I definitely would recommend Whiffletree Farm.

“Susan at Whiffletree Farm Memory Quilts is a gifted and caring person who will offer many inspirations for a quilt - ideas that you may never have thought of. When I approached Susan to construct a quilt for me, I told her that I didn’t think I had enough t-shirts for a quilt the size I desired, or in the colors I desired. She said “ you will be surprised if you just look at the t-shirts you have and what they mean to you". I collected t-shirts purchased from my employer of 30 years, shirts from my travels in the US and abroad, shirts that belonged to my first husband, and recent purchases. Susan offered to pick out the colors for the quilt based on the color scheme of my bedroom and positioned them in the most complimentary manner. She explained that she can use both the fronts and the backs of the t-shirts and can use button-up shirts as well. The buttons showing on a quilt square are especially unique. Susan tastefully placed fabric squares in my quilt to complete the desired size. The quilt does not have to be entirely made up of t-shirts. It can be other fabrics, other types of shirts, or any other ideas you and Susan come up with!!
The quilt is on our bed and each day I relive many memories. My career is nearly over and the t-shirts will not be hidden in a drawer never to be seen again. The trip I took to Norway and Sweden with two sisters and our parents was an event of a lifetime even more dear to our memories now that our parents, and us, are aging. My first husband died at the young age of 42 and every day I still think of him and how I wish he could be with his children and grandchildren.
The quality of Susan’s work is outstanding and finished with love. She genuinely cares about each quilt and each person she is working with. The fabrics are high quality and easy to care for. Susan really takes the time know each client and work with them to create the perfect quilt of memories that you can cherish for a lifetime.

I love my new quilt!! WhiffletreeFarm worked with me to create the perfect quilt! It was a great use of my tee-shirts and now I have a new, very personal, bedspread!! I hope to ask WhiffletreeFarm to do at least one or two additional such quilts!
Amazing, Beautiful, Perfect!!! - those are only a few words that can possibly describe the baby quilt Susan created for me. From the craftsmanship to the creativity it is more than I could of ever hoped for. It is something I will always cherish, and is the perfect heirloom for me to pass down to my daughter.
This order was actually a very special order. I had a bunch of Disney wash cloths I had collected over the years and this seller was willing to figure out how to turn them into a functional/washable shower curtain. It’s simply beautiful! Once I saw it I decided to put it in the more visible bathroom so that my guests and I can all admire it more often. This was the second project I ordered from this seller and she currently is working on a third project for me. She does such amazing work and she’s so wonderful to work with in figuring out how to make the product the most special and beautiful it can be.
As with the first quilt I ordered from WhiffletreeFarm, this one turned out beautifully. She worked with me for days on fabric and organizing the t-shirts and other design issues, until we got it all set up in a way I loved. She sent pictures of the layout with each change we made so that I could decide if I liked it. I’m using the quilt as a bedspread on the bed in my guest room. As with the other one, the quilt is even more breath-taking in person that it was in the pictures. It’s so much better than having those old t-shirts stuck in a drawer.
This was the third quilt I ordered from Whiffletree Farm. Actually, we were working on this one and the second one at the same time. I lost 30 lbs. and couldn’t figure out what to do with my sweatshirts that I had loved and found so comfortable. I gave a bunch to Goodwill but I was struggling with what to do with my favorites. My mother suggested that I ask if they could be turned into a quilt. Along with the sweatshirts, I sent a swatch of upholstery fabric from my living room and she was able find a beautiful flannel that perfectly matched the upholstery. She used that as the backing and the in-betweens. I use this quilt every night when I’m sitting on the couch. It’s warm and soft and snuggly. I love it!!
Susan was fantastic :) She was patient with me all along the way as I traveled and fell in and out of touch, and somehow managed to get everything done in time just the same. My husband loved the quilt, and people keep complimenting and asking about it. It’s well put together and pleasantly comfy. Will definitely have to make another soon - Thanks Susan!
Absolutely amazing! Quality/workmanship is incredible, worked with me every step of the way to ensure my vision was created as described. Fantastic experience. I will cherish my new quilt for many many years. You will not be disappointed, highly recommended, well worth the investment. Thank you so much!
I got the quilt on Saturday and it is stunning!!!! Now I have to have one!!!!
Beyond description. Perfect!!!
I had heard about Susan’s quilts from a co-worker several years ago, so as my kids put aside the tees and sweatshirts from sporting events and activities, they were put into a bin for a quilt to be made ‘some day’. Finally, nearly 5 years after my youngest graduated high school, I went through the bin, figured out what I had and contacted Susan. She was so great to work with; having great patience with me as we selected the backing and trim, updating me about the status and making sure I received them in time for Christmas. My kids, who never believed this project would get done, love their quilts. The quilts are cozy and well made but the best part was listening to the memories each square brought to mind.
I would highly recommend Susan at Whiffletree Farm to make a Memory Quilt for your loved one. Susan does very neat and beautiful work. She is a very kind and compassionate person who will work with you to try to make the quilt to your satisfaction. We loved the quilt she made for our Emily and we will treasure it for years to come.

I lost my 26 year-old son after he suffered for two years from a severe spinal cord injury. He was a great guy who loved his t-shirts and his hats. He had literally a hundred t-shirts that I couldn't bear to give to Goodwill. Each was carefully studied, chosen and purchased for the design or meaning on the front. It gave him great pleasure to wear them. They defined him. After his death and after three years of avoiding the shirts, I heard about a way to memorialize a loved one using t-shirts. I found Susan's Whiffletree Farm website by chance on the Etsy site. She was very professional, yet caring about how I wanted the quilts to look and what materials and colors would make my project perfect. I sent her two huge boxes of his precious shirts. I could still smell my son on them, so they were painful to send away. But, when I got a beautiful quilt back and spread it on my bed, my husband couldn't speak and I was overwhelmed with memories and emotion. The quilts are precisely made, perfect in every stitch. Unbelievably perfectly sewn. I also had one made for my daughter and a small lap sized one that I cover myself with when I read. This has been a true highlight in my life, my husband's and daughter's, to feel Jesse's presence in this almost spiritual way.

It is absolutely gorgeous. I have goosebumps looking at it and all of the memories that it holds. Thank you very, very much!!!!
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the quilt you made. It was really unexpected. I thought my mom had gotten rid of my Dad's clothes, and I didn't want to tell her that by doing that it broke my heart. I was so happy to see that she didn't get rid of them, and you made a gorgeous quilt with them. I can't thank you enough. It is truly the best present that I got. Your work is so amazing and you are so talented. Thanks for making my Christmas much more merry.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas, and just know that mine was made extra special because of you.
I don't think that I will ever have the words to thank you enough for the gift that you gave me and my family. When I opened up my gift on Christmas Eve and saw the square with the "Minnesota Teamsters" on it I could picture my dad wearing that shirt. It was like he was right there. Every square of that quilt has so many memories attached to it, and I am forever grateful for each and every square that you so lovingly crafted. I can't even imagine how much work you put into those four beautiful works of art.
When I went to bed on Christmas Eve, I couldn't help but curl up in my quilt. It's not the same as a hug from my dad, but it's the closest that I can get and it means so much to me.
It was also a gift to know that my mom was finally able to do something with my dad's clothes. I had thought that they were still in bags, and I was worried that they would stay that way. I am so happy that she was ready to come to you and ask you to make these quilts for us.
I will cherish my quilt forever, as I know my mom and sisters will. You are doing such a wonderful service to others using your gift as a fiber artist and Whiffletree Farm to give others back a small piece of what they have lost. It means the world to us.
Thank you so much.
The quilts you so lovingly crafted were adored by us all. All of the girls cried tears of joy when they opened them. The square with Harley's initials and the lyrics from the song played at his funeral on my quilt brought new tears when we discovered it.
Susan of Whiffletree Farm Quilts is an artist! I have had two quilts done by her and both were outstanding in their craft as well as design. She really worked with me to get each of them just right. I am now in the process of collecting another set so she can do her magic once again!!
